Corporate Intelligence |
Director and officer network mapping traces the individuals named in company filings across multiple jurisdictions and entities to expose shared-control structures, front-company networks and hidden beneficial ownership. The same individual appearing repeatedly across nominally separate companies is the primary investigative signal. The technique draws on public corporate registries, leaked offshore data and relationship databases that aggregate filing records at scale, turning scattered documentary evidence into a navigable network.
The technique applies when mapping a corporate network controlled by a single individual, identifying nominee directors masking beneficial ownership, tracing historical officer appointments for evidence of control changes, or linking an offshore entity to a known public figure via directorship overlap. A single shared director is suggestive. A cluster of shared directors, registered addresses and formation agents across multiple jurisdictions is a pattern worth documenting.
COR-002 sets out the methodology for identifying, cross-referencing and mapping director and officer relationships across jurisdictions to evidentiary standard.
